The table below compares the features of Raritan’s three types of rack power distribution units (PDUs) – intelligent, switched and metered PDUs. As can be seen from the table, intelligent PDUs offer the greatest functionality with an emphasis on management and support for remote PDU-level and outlet-level switching. Switched PDUs support remote switching but little else. Metered PDUs support more management capabilities than switched PDUs but with only PDU-level remote switching.

Raritan also offers Power IQ energy management software that centralizes power control and analytics from Raritan's intelligent PDUs and a wide range of third party rack PDUs including APC and Server Technology.

Power IQ is data center power management software that automates secure power monitoring and control of your equipment. Its easy-to-use scheduling feature allows you to control power to device groups at set times. It provides powerful analytics – such as active power level, energy consumption, customer costs, environmental readings, line capacities and carbon footprint – in minutes. Plus trending and cumulative total reports are available at any level including building, floor, room, rack, customer and IT device.

Dominion PX

Power IQ is data center power management software that automates secure power monitoring and control of your equipment. Its easy-to-use scheduling feature allows you to control power to device groups at set times. Raritan PM

The Raritan PM family of Ethernet metered rack power distribution units offers you remote, real-time PDU-level current monitoring, including thresholds, alerts and support for SNMP TRAPs and alarms. Certifications include UL and cUL Listed 60950 and RoHS.

Remote Power Control (RPC)

Raritan's Remote Power Control (RPC) units allow IT administrators to remotely power on/off and reboot servers and other network devices. These power strips work with other Raritan products to provide integrated remote power management.
